# Can I Track When My Custom Canvas Is Ready?

You absolutely can. We’ve introduced a new event, `customCanvasReady`, that you can listen for like this:

```auto
const handleCustomCanvasReady = () => {
  // do whatever you like here
}
element.addEventListener('customCanvasReady', handleCustomCanvasReady);

```
